Aqua Nature is an aquarium maintenance and aquascaping company founded to bring the highest quality aquascaping to the Devon area. Many people admire beautiful aquariums but struggle to achieve the same results themselves. That’s where I step in helping clients create thriving, balanced ecosystems that flourish for years to come.

My Story

My name is Andrew, and I am the Founder of Aqua Nature. My passion for aquatics began at the age of nine with my first 30-litre aquarium. From the very start, I was captivated by the intricate behaviours of fish and the way entire ecosystems functioned in harmony. Over the years, my aquariums grew in size, as did my fascination with the underwater world.

I pursued this passion professionally, working at Tamar Aquatics as a Fish House Manager. In this role, I gained hands-on experience managing aquatic life, maintaining ecosystems, and supporting customers with expert advice on fishkeeping and aquascaping. During this time, I introduced aquascaping to clients and received numerous requests to create bespoke aquascapes for their homes, which inspired me to launch Aqua Nature. My goal has always been to help people bring the beauty and benefits of nature aquariums into their lives.

Early in my aquascaping journey, I faced the common challenges of maintaining healthy plants and a balanced ecosystem. Through hundreds of hours of study, workshops, and practical experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the key elements needed for thriving aquascapes. Today, I bring this expertise to every project, dedicating myself to delivering high-quality aquascaping solutions that transform homes and enrich the lives of those who enjoy them.

All of our tools and materials are carefully chosen for sustainability, made from bamboo, recycled plastic, or steel. We operate as a paperless business and rely on green energy, ensuring that every beautiful aquarium we create is crafted without compromising the health of our planet.

Education is also a cornerstone of our approach. Maintaining a healthy aquarium requires knowledge and care, so we make it a priority to teach and guide our clients, ensuring that everyone involved understands the fundamentals needed for a thriving aquatic ecosystem.
